Dr Emhe's Service Dog Rutlands Beppie in Holland
Dr Emhe works from her wheelchair. She imported Beppie as a little puppy, from Rutland Manor in Australia, to be trained by trainer Yannie as a working service dog . When Emhe's friends asked her why she was getting her dog all the way from Australia, she said she wanted the best, but they laughed.
When little sixteen weeks old Beppie arrived from the airport to Emhe's home, Emhe accidentally dropped her car keys. With no specific training other than her preparation at Rutlands the puppy picked up the keys and offered them to Emhe in her chair. Her friends were no longer laughing and trainer Yannie was very surprised too!

When Emhe is out, without a human companion, she carries an S.O.S. card. Beppie has been trained to take it quickly for help if Emhe is feeling unwell.
Beppie has also been trained to do a number of household tasks, including bringing named articles to Emhe, turning lights on and off, opening and closing doors, and putting the laundry into the washing machine and in and out of the dryer.
