There are many and diverse reasons for this, but whatever the individual reason, we value this as a testament to both our breeding program and our relationship with the families who welcome our puppies into their homes.

TWO LITTLE MATCHING BOOK ENDS! 'LACEY' (8yrs) AND CHARLOTTE (11 MTHS) JANUARY 2012

Attached is a photo of Lacy, on the right (8 years old, dob September 11, 2003) and Charlotte on the left (11 months old, dob February 1, 2011). They are the love of our lives and make us smile every day. When we are out for our walks, they are often complimented on how cute they are. One little boy said they look like little polar bears. I wish Lacy liked Charlotte more but we’ve decided that Lacy just doesn’t like dogs. She prefers people. I’m sure as Charlotte matures and settles down she and Lacy will become closer. Just wanted to thank you for assisting our son and his wife with their new labradoodle. They are excited about its arrival this week.
I wanted to update you on our 2 RM labradoodles. They are both Therapy dogs, they visit at the local Children's Hospital. They get special access to the floor with the children with cancer since my husband is their pediatric oncologist. They also have started in a program for children with emotional problems who live in a group home.
They are stars wherever they go.

One Was Not Enough for Leo and Lisa in Florida
Hello Beverley,
I have not been on the site in ages, but what a quick way to bring a smile to my face. I saw your double doodle page and would like to send updates on our Lulu(almost 8, sister of Auzzie, and daughter of Snuggles/Woody) and Stogie(7, Dippa and Dolce).
They are still as wonderful and as healthy as always and make everyday wonderful. Stogie is the smart but gentle, not a bad bone in his body boy and Lulu is our super-smart girl,who is bossy and the best snuggler there is!
Stogie is notorious for stopping traffic, he’s gorgeous. Literally, cars stop to ask about him, and after 7 years we are still amused by it!

One Was Not Enough for Thomas Little in Salt Lake Valley

The Girls
All the girls’ names begin with Montana, Montana Maxine, Montana Jo, and Montana Golden Sky AKA as Skeeter. Reason is that I’m originally from Montana but have lived in the Salt Lake valley for many years.
I became interested in the Labradoodle after seeing them on a TV program. I liked the looks and temperament of the breed. I believe it was Beverely showing the dogs somewhere. Of course I didn’t do my research but I did find one in the local newspaper. Hence I got Montana Max; her mother was a lab and dad a poodle.
I don’t regret Max and love her to the moon, but I kept waiting for her hair to grow like the Labradoodle that I saw on TV… didn’t happen. Did my research and found Rutland Manor on the Internet. That was my lucky day. I read and was educated about how the Labradoodle came to be and I was very impressed with what I read and I just loved looking at all the puppies! Put in my order.
Montana Jo arrived on December 17th, 2005, she is the daughter of Kelby and Minuette and came from a very large litter. She arrives just in time to take my annual Christmas trip to Montana. My nephew and has several allergies and while we were there he had no problems with his allergies, he even held her for long periods of time. When they talk about them being a clown that is Jo, she is so much fun to be around. Sleeping arrangements are like this Jo sleeps at the top of the bed with me, some nights her head is on my pillow and her tongue is always moving.
Montana Golden Sky AKA Skeeter is the daughter of Kelby and WH Golden Glamour. She arrived on July 4, 2008 and we had a party for her arrival. When I brought her home she sat in the middle of the dinning room, she was so tiny that she looked like a Skeeter and the name stuck. Now cam we talk energy, Skeeter is full of it and always on the go but don’t wake her up in the morning. She will stay in bed till I am ready to leave for the day. Being intuitive is one of her greatest asset, when my close friend was sick with cancer and he would come to my house and sit in a chair that made him comfortable at my house Skeeter would come and lay by his feet. Don was always good to my girls so they appreciated him; he was the one that gave them way too many treats. Skeeter new he was sick and was taking care of him during this time of his illness.

Hello Helen and Beverley!
Oliver arrived at about 10pm on Wednesday evening and is absolutely beautiful! His pictures didn't do him justice! Abigail was beside herself with "her" new puppy and has taken to mothering him - not that he thinks he needs one. He is bold and brave and wants to explore every inch of our 2+ acres NOW.
He has already learned that jumping doesn't get him attention, and has decided that instead he will run up and plop his little bottom down and try not to wiggle. Nothing rattles Oliver (must be that scary noise CD...); rather, when he hears something he feels compelled to go see what it is- he's simply fearless. He's a very curious, intense puppy with a playful teasing spirit - and his eye contact is outstanding. He seems to be learning the leash VERY quickly, and behaves well - not even one accident in the house. His first night he only woke up once, and I just put my fingers through the crate openings and he settled right down and went back to sleep.
We just returned from the vet, and she was quite impressed with both Oliver's good health and delightful temperament. He was completely at home in her office and snuggled warmly with her.He's already comfortable riding in the car and settled right in with Abigail (she enjoyed going to the vet and NOT getting poked or prodded!).
We are absolutely delighted with our second Rutland puppy - just as we expected!
Thank you for all the dedicated work you put in to bringing these wonderful dogs to the world. If you are ever traveling through Central California, we'd love to host you at our home. Really! Anytime! It would be our pleasure.

Look How Oliver Has Grown! Updates May, July and September 2011.

As of last week Oliver weighed in at 54 pounds and measured close to 24" at the withers. He's a big, wonderful boy for sure! It's difficult to even put into words how much delight he has brought to our family! He is also smart as a whip, and learns anything we let him know is important. With Abigail, if we hinted it was important she immediately complied. With Oliver he has to KNOW we want him to do it, then he does everything with great enthusiasm.
His "stay" is remarkable for his age- and this is critical when we are bee-keeping. He's learned to stays just where we "put" him and waits patiently. Abigail seems to think she's smarter than we are and tends to drift slightly if she sees no reason to stay. So we remind her and she complies - but with a heavy sigh (somewhat like a teenager). Marla

I am so sorry to hear about the latest round of ugliness you are going through. It pains me when good, honest people are getting hurt by the evil and craziness in this world.
Please know that we have always trusted and supported you, (what better evidence do we have, than in Noodles!) and knew someday we would want a second dog from you and only you.
We continue to be completely amazed by Noodles and love him so much. He has brought such joy into our lives. He is doing great and will be 2 years old on August 14th 2010. He is such a lovable goof-ball and has had a very active summer romping at our ranch in the mountains, barking at cows, playing in the stream and chasing kids, bugs, rabbits, etc.
I know I have inquired in the past about getting another dog, but we are finally ready and would like to start the process now. We are hoping to get Noodles a Rutland Manor, "sister". My daughter, Ivy is so excited to balance out the boy to girl ration in our house, it now stands at 3 boys (my husband, Walter, son, Walter and Noodles) and 2 girls (myself and Ivy). We would love a medium to standard size and would prefer the coloring to be any color but cream, since that is Noodles color.
Could you also invite us to be on the chat page. I don't go on it very much, but I love seeing the new and old dogs and loved the feedback from the other Rutland Manor owners. I also want to show my support for you and Rutland Manor!

One Was Not Enough For Sandie in Perth Western Australia
First there was KODY in 2009, a lovely Cool Caramel Standard boy. Then in 2010 another Standard boy, this time a Warm Caramel Sandie named BACI. The two immediately bonded and became best buddies
Sandie wrote after BACI's arrival:
Well, today we had a visit to see Richard our Vet, just to say hi, get some worming tablets for both Kody and Baci. We took Kody just to introduce them when he first came to us, so we thought we’d do the same with Baci. I wanted to weigh Kody as well so he came too.
Richard gave Baci a complete examination and made the comment that he was a gem, as he had done with Kody. He said conformation was perfect and that we had a really good pup indeed, was there any doubt?
He also said that if you find a good Breeder, don't change, which I wholeheartedly agree with.
So you guys there at RM, be proud of the work you are doing. I can see the amount of time that has gone into Baci. He was sitting from day one on command, and that wasn't my doing, he came like that.
The only thing I have a complaint about is that he was not completely toilet trained, lol. And when I say that he has very few "accidents" inside at all, now who can we blame if he does have an oopsy, only his Mum for not being more diligent.
Oh and by the way he sleeps through the night too..
All in all we have the perfect family, Kody and Baci get on so well, totally accepting of each other, the best thing ever to have done.

One Was Not Enough for Keryn in Australia
 Pip and Toby | Hi to all at Rutland Manor.
It was lovely to meet you all last week. Little Toby has settled in very well and Pip is delighted to have a playmate. He traveled OK – on my lap, and was not sick. He snuggles up to Pip when having sleeps. He was vaccinated last Thursday so will be able to go on walks with us soon. See attached photos. Regards, Kerin Unkles |
