MAGGIE 10 yrs old January 2012
Dear Beverley,
hello and happy new year. We just celebrated Maggie's 10th birthday a few weeks ago--she is the happiest dog on earth, and very healthy--still chasing her ball like a puppy. She had another wonderful summer at our beach house, going to the beach every morning and evening, and now, back in Miami, she swims in the pool every day. Not a day goes by that we don't miss our Gypsy and her beautiful spirit and smile, but Maggie gives us more than enough love to compensate, so all is right with the world for us. Hope you are well, and all the best to you. Shelley F and Joni R |
GRACIE ROO "The Clown Princess" a few weeks off 10 yrs of age, and beloved of Rev. Paige Blair and family in California
Hi Beverley!
I hope you are well! I enjoyed my visit to your site today, and would love to send you some pictures of our dear Gracie Roo, aka Rutlands Amazing Grace, for your Seniors page... She is still her amazing self, has adapted to life in California, and is still our Clown Princess. Love, Paige GracieRoo's favourite sport is rock scooting, see her in action here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLIzxDXZ2Tk |
Dear Bev,
Here's a relatively recent photo of our beloved Truly. She truly is! Let it be said she is not just another pretty face. Intelligent, intuitive, sensitive, gentle, good-natured, comical... She's got the appetite of a horse but of course I'm the Mean One who keeps her slender and mindful of her girlish figure. She maintains a lively correspondence via email with her faithful friends Barbie, Harry, Magic, Newton, Shiloh, Suzie, and Xingo. |
Hello Beverley,
Today 17th November we are celebrating Ripley's 9th birthday, and I wanted to thank you again for him! He is NOT slowing down with age and remains as vigorous, healthy, engaged and engaging as ever. Ripley feels that it is his duty to rid our yard of deer that munch the plants, and we appreciate his hard work along those lines. |
Greetings to all from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA! Ten years ago today, on November 19, 2001, Scooter Pie Kershner, the ManDog, was born to his Mom, Rutland's Shadow Brown Chocolate (Shadow) and his Dad, Rutland's Heart Throb Cafe (Huggy) in Melbourne, Australia.
A healthy, happy, loving, and well-loved member of our family turns 10 today. When we reminded him this morning, he was surprised to think that he is really 70 years old, because he still feels like a puppy. Today he had a breakfast of Maine Yellowfin Tuna and brown rice, and dinner this evening was fresh Boston Scrod and white rice. Needless to say, he is a happy guy, though missing his extended family. Dear Beverley,
Your little grandpuppy, Joey, is healthy and happy, at 10 years old! ( Joey came to Los Angeles on August 14, 2001- he was little "Lamb" originally, born May 20, 2001. Thank you SO MUCH for our Joey. He has made a huge difference in our lives. Joey has grown with my children, who are now in their 20's. He brings us such happiness. You named him well; as "The Lamb" he has always been gentle and loving. Our vet adores him; he has quite a few Labradoodle patients, and mentioned that he feels they embody all of the good qualities and none of the bad health issues of the distinct, non-hybrid breeds, in general. Joey's typical resting spot (especially on extremely cold or hot days) is inside with his nose out the doggy door flap- quite funny! The photos show Joey at 3-5 months old with my children when they were very young, to more recently, in 2010 and 2011, when Joey was 9 and 10 years old. In one, he has his head on my daughter's legs as she prepares to leave for college. I 'm also sending one from when he was at your house: "The Lamb inside the study". |
Dear Beverley:
As you can see, even though Perry is 11 years old now, he still is the handsome boy with the eyes that talk to you. Perry enjoys outings with us, although there aren’t many places that welcome such a big dog. However one place where he is very welcome is at the Nordstrom’s Dept. Store in the local mall. All the employees love him, and if we go shopping without him, we will hear complaints from his loyal fans, such as “Where’s Perry? Why haven’t you brought him along today? We really enjoy seeing him……what a nice dog he is, and so handsome! And so well-behaved” But he is an alpha dog, as you warned me, and when he is off the leash, he does just as he pleases! |
Hi,
I re-homed one of your dogs, Monkey, in Nov. 2005. He was 2 1/2 yrs. old. He was born in May 2003. His parents were Petal and Yogi Bear. I believe they were some of your first minis, right? He has had no health problems, and we're hoping for many more wonderful years with him! Monkey is a beautiful boy...inside and out. He is very smart...has great problem solving skills. He is very active outdoors but has a mellow personality. He comes up with his own little games to play with us. He's agile, but at the same time, he's a big goofball! He keeps us laughing. He gets along wonderfully with everybody...people and dogs alike. It gets really hot here, so I keep Monkey clipped pretty short these days. I groom him myself. He has always been patient with me. After being groomed, he struts around like he knows that he looks good. :) |
Hi Beverley
Well here we are now. Austin is now 9 years old and is a valued member of our family. I have a son with Down Syndrome, Jesse, who has bonded beautifully with Austin. There’s nothing like it. Jesse was the reason we decided to get an Australian labradoodle from Rutland. Bev, you and I go back a long way. We had a truly unforgettable visit with you, when you stayed at our house for your “America tour.” I really loved having you here and hope someday you will be able to come back for another visit. My home is always open to you… Thank you Ivy Jim, and Jesse. I hope I will be able to see you again too and will look forward to it! For those who live in the New Jersey/New York area, you will find Ivy's Salon and portfolio here- www.doodlestyle.com |
