Rutlands Cobberdog Breeding Dogs
At Rutlands Australian Cobberdogs we breed only with the creme de la creme of breeding stock developed over generations using self-imposed strict criteria. Health, Temperament, Sound conformation for active longevity, INTUITION and Social friendliness are mandatory, with most draped in non shedding, allergy friendly curly or wavy fleece coats. Rutlands Cobberdogs naturally excel as Therapy Dogs and Family Companions.
Rutlands girls are retired from breeding while still young. They live as much loved house pets, are well socialized and go walkies daily. So when they retire they are ready to be donated to Therapy Dog organizations where they don't miss a beat, and settle so quickly that we're told it's as if they've always been there!
THE GIRLS - INCLUDING UP AND COMING
SOME BOYS PAST PRESENT AND UP AND COMING
It isn't kind to have competing Romeos living in the house alongside girls they might not be allowed to woo! So once they attain breeding age their semen is collected at a Repro Vet Clinic, and frozen and stored at the Uni Canine Reproductive Clinic for future use. The boys are then either neutered to be pets, or are released to other breeders who will benefit from their bloodlines in their breeding programs.
