                                                            Dear Beverley,

Although we speak regularly on the phone,I would like to give you an update on Ava.

She is a great little girl who brings us a lot of joy. She feels completely happy in our pack. She knows exactly how to behave to the different members.

She treats our old Annabel ,who is nearly 13 years old, with a lot of respect. She likes to play with the younger dogs and when she is told off by one of the older ones, she stops straight away. What struck me most when  I opened her crate after she had been handed over to me on the airport was how relaxed she was after such a long journey.

I know you put a lot of effort in preparing the puppies on the long journey they have to make to get to their families. It certainly pays off, you did an excellent job.

Travelling back on the same plane as Ava without being able to be with her was quite an experience and I can tell you that I was glad when it was over and I could take her in my arms.

I have enjoyed every minute of my stay in Australia and of course meeting you and your beautiful dogs several times and talking to the people who really know you.Ava is everything we could have hoped for, she is a promise for the future and we are looking forward to working together with you

.I especially like the picture of Joey and Ava together ,two beautiful dogs, the result of your work.

                                                            Talk to you soon,

                                                            Angela  (and of course Pako)

                                                            Hello Beverley

Doozle and Pebbles are doing great, but we did not expect otherwise :-)

Doozle feels at home and Pebbles she has to get used to it at the fact that there's another dog in the house. She is very kind for Doozle and would like to play the whole time.

We bought some new toys for both off them so that they won't be jaleous at each other and, it works well so far.

Walking with both dogs is going great. So you have done a great job!! Thank you so much for this. Doozle is staying nice close to us, also when we are walking with her alone. She is a very clever and smart girl. She listens very well to her name and knows already how to sit a few times. The eating is also going very good, and the potting training today also!! Yes Beverley we are very very glad with Doozle and with Pebbles. It is really amazing, having this puppie for 3/4 days and we already love her so much that we can't imagine already a life with out her.

Warm wishes and doodle greetings oh Happy Christmas and if we don't contact before new year a Happy New year and much love from all of us!!

KOLYA ARRIVES VIENNA AUSTRIA TO GERLINDE AND FAMILY JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS 2011
                                                            Picture
                                                            Dear Beverley,

Kolya's plane has arrived excactly on time. Because of the customs procedure it took quite a while until we could meet him. First he was a bit drowsy from the flight and didn’t want to come out of his crate so I helped him a little.  But after about 5 minutes he got lively and started to lick our hands and faces.

On our way home he sat on my lap with his head over my arm. He was so relaxed, we didn’t have to stop once. At home, he had a little bit of cooked chicken and rice. And after the good night walk we went to bed.

Most of the time Kolya is relieving himself outside ;) We only had two accidents so far (no doubt my fault, I have obviously misread him).

Tomorrow we are going to see the vet for the first time. She is a very kind and patient woman and loves animals. Also, I will call the trainer to fix our first appointment with her. She thinks we might be able to join the puppy group which started in December, we’ll see.

Kolya is a very gentle and funny dog, he looks straight into my eyes and follows me around when off-leash outside. He’s also pretty good at walking on the leash and does sits and downs (we will have to work on the stays, though ;) )!

Beverley, I still can’t believe I am now a Doodle-owner, it all seems a bit unreal, but I am sure very happy! I would like to thank you again for entrusting us with one of your precious babies, I promise I will take good care of our lovely Kolya.
                                                            Many Doodle hugs,
                                                            Gerlinde  xxx

P.S. Not the slightest allergic reactions so far :-)
KOLYA Four Months Update End of January 2012

                                                            Dear Beverley,

just a brief update: Kolya is doing so fine, he's such a wonderful dog and I am so grateful he is with us.

He's having a conjunctivitis because of the terribly stormy, cold and wet weather we had and I have to put salve in his eyes twice a day, but he seems to be thanking me afterwards licking my hands thoroughly.  And he has grown: yesterday he was 16,4 kg and 48 cm/19 in!

Every saturday morning we go to puppy school. It is a small group of four and he enjoys playing with his friends as well as his training. I found out last time that it's me who of the two of us has to learn more ;))

Kolya likes the snow very much. It's so funny when he puts his nose deep into it and sniffs around and gets that white face. But I had to cut the hair on his paws twice already to prevent him from getting sore, because after a short time outside the snow forms icy balls underneath. I am so much looking forward to spring when I don't have to put on four layers of clothes before going for a walk! At the moment we do have a little sunshine but it's -10° C outside and lately even the leash froze!

Love from the doodle mum that still can't completely grasp she is one and kisses and tailwags from Kolya,

Morning, Smudge is loving the garden and likes playing in the bushes.  Had a good run around with her ball. Not much sleep last night and a couple of little accidents later she eventually relaxed.

Did potty outside this morning  which was great, so she got lots of cuddles for that.  Now fast asleep again.  Loved her scrambled eggs this morning. Abby wasn't too happy about going to school but we are glad as we will get the cuddles instead, they are very attached.  Very cute.  Chat soon Gaynor. X

                                                            Hi Bev,
Ralphie has been with me now 72hrs, today we have just returned from the vet for a complete checkup. The Vet read all the paper work I downloaded from the RM web site, and she was most impressed.  She read with interest RM's diet, and she was in total agreement with it, also agreed about  the over vaccination bit.     She said Ralph was in great condition, I asked about the hair in his ears, will it be a problem, and she showed me thru the gadget, and said, if she were to make perfect ears for a breed, then that is how they should look. WOW.

Since Ralph has been home with me, he follows me, comes when I call, and even sits when he reaches me,  When I sit, he lays at my feet. I love the feel of his coat, and so does everyone down the street.  He did not react to the loud transports that roll thru our town, but what impressed me more was, last night he spent the first night outside, as it was a bit warm inside, no crying, and at 4am during a storm, thunder & lightning, I checked on him to find him relaxed and unfazed. Yippee, other dogs I've had were all terrified of storms.

At puppy pre-school, he was the youngest by a couple of weeks, the other 3 dogs were barking and fighting, the little blue heeler even had a go at him, he responded with a snap, then lay down and dozed at my feet, while the others made such a racket one had to be removed from the room, twice.

Bev, sorry if I have gone on a bit, but he is so so good, I think both he and I are in love.  I will keep you updated at time goes by. Thanks for my wonderful puppy  "SIR" Ralph.
                                                            Pat xx
                                                            Hello Bev,
Well Ralph has been with us now nearly 2 weeks, today he had his last vaccination for a while, and the Vet commented by saying he is the most relaxed puppy she has seen. Just lay on the floor next to me when he wasn't being examined.

He is sitting on command, and doing well at drop, and going great on the lead. When I stop at all the intersections, he just sits at my left.

Him and I are getting on well, his coat is beautiful, I rub my face into it, no doggy smell, I love it, so does he.  Those that meet him down the street have said he is gorgeous and what big paws he has.  I don't care how big he gets, because if I am consistent with my training, he will be a great doodle friend, perhaps he may even earn his knighthood.   "Sir" Ralph as you call him.
                                                                                                                     Thanks RM

ZEN (Ava and Muskie) arrived home to Victoria and Tim in California Nov 2011.
                                                            Dear Beverley,

We picked Zen up last night.  He's doing very well.  We love him so much.  He slept with me last night.  He settled nicely.  Gave him a bath when we got home.  He is such a good boy.  I love his puppy personality.  He's very curious and very loving.  Photos will follow soon.

Zen is remarkable.  He slept all night right next to me.  He's so loving and cuddley.  He's my little shadow.  I went to the market for about half an hour and my daughter said that he went to the back door and started to cry.  There is a special bond already.  Vet said he's in great shape.  He's eating well and is adjusting easily.  We are all in awe of our Zen.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

                                                            Love
                                                            Victoria and family

Zen has met all of my private patients and all of my clients at the treatment facility.  The residents at the treatment facility take turns holding him during part of our group time.  Others enjoy playing with him during breaks.  He truly has a calming effect on all he meets.  Hard to believe a puppy can do this. Warm wishes,
                                                            Victoria

                                                            Hi Beverley,

We are so thrilled to have Simba with us. He is an absolute joy, loving, gentle, sweet, everything you want in the Australian Labradoodle. He just completed his Puppy Obedience Training and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow. He is now 6 months old and growing fast.

We love everything about Simba; apart from the fact that he is such a gentle soul, his non-shedding coat, fabulous boning and conformation are to die for.  Everywhere we go people remark about how gorgeous he is.  Thank you for sending him to us and we can't wait to see his puppies!

Playing at Rutland Manor before leaving.

At eleven and twelve weeks of age, most of Ava and Muskie's puppies have left for their forever homes across Australia, and to the United States.  However puppies need to be older in order to enter Europe so 'Kolya' who is going to Austria, is still here with us and also 'Doozle' who will be going to Holland.  Enjoying the company of these two of her siblings, is 'Seanna' who has been retained for breeding, to carry on from her mother Ava who has now retired from breeding.
