A simple guide
Just as with humans, there are variations in colour known under the same name. For instance not everyone with "brown" hair will have the same shade of brown. The colour of an infant's hair will often change its shade when an adult. Dalmations are born with no spots. Golden Collies (Lassie dogs) are born grey. German Shepherd dogs are not born with their glorious black saddle markings. Cobberdog puppies are also not the same colour born as they may be later on. They may not be the same colour as either of their parents either! Below are the most prevalent colours. But If constant colour throughout life is of vital importance to you, we respectfully ask you to reconsider either your choice of breed, or your breeder. There is so much more to this breed than colour alone and we prefer our puppies to go to homes where their other amazing and uniqye traits are recognized and appreciated.
