Early
in 2008,
an
officer
in the
USA
Disaster
Relief
Corps
flew to
Australia
to see
the
Australian
Labradoodles
at
Rutland
Manor
Australian
Labradoodle
Breeding
and
Research
Center.

Because
the USADRC
assists
in both
search
and
rescue
missions,
and
disaster
relief efforts,
they
decided
to
recruit
a new
four
legged
member.
She was
born at
Rutland
Manor,
10th May
2008 from a
litter
of seven
puppies,
and was
given
the pet
name of
"Scout".
In mid
July
2008
the nine
week old
puppy
flew
from
Australia
to
Chicago
to her
new home
with USADRC-Squad
16 which
has
primary
duty
east of
the
Mississippi River.

Dear Beverly, just an update on Scout. She arrived safe and sound and looked great. She is growing fast and learning a lot daily.
She already knows sit, stay, down and can heel very well. She sits on default before each activity. We are very impressed with her willingness to learn and her warmth and affection as well. Thank you for choosing such a great asset to USADRC. We hope to send you more photos soon.
