'Coco'' Arrived in Singapore
September 2007
Daughter of Rutlands
Curtain Call
(Callie) and
Rutlands Redd Baron
(Baron) Coco arrived
hale and hearty to
capture the hearts
of the family of Dr
Paul Ho in
Singapore.
Dear Beverley and
everyone at Rutland
Manor,
It's
not often I feel so
grateful for what
you have done for me
and I would like to
represent the 7 of
us in Singapore to
Thank You from the
bottom of my heart,
on such a lovely dog
you have given to
me. Coco is my
dream dog and more.
Looks aside, its the
temperament and
intelligence that
sets her aside from
the previous dogs I
have reared. She is
inquisitive but not
poky, playful but
not naughty and
above all, possesses
this personality
that melts your
heart.
In our
family, she is
definitely taking on
the Celeb status
without any of the
Diva attitude !!
I compared notes
with Labradoodle
owners who obtained
their dog from
different breeders
and I must pay
compliments to you
and the effort you
have put into Coco,
to make her so
presentable and
pretty even on the
first day touch
down.
From my gathering of
information from
other owners of
other doodle
breeders, those poor
puppies come to
Singapore
dishevelled, unkempt
and some of them
refuse to eat,
another was shell
shocked and did not
make any sound or
bark for several
days.
Our Coco came into
Singapore well
groomed ( I can see
your groomer did a
fantastic job -
thanks !) and so
relaxed and eager to
please - even on the
first day of
arrival. Two days
ago, we brought Coco
to the vet for a
general check up and
the Vet commented
that she is a
relaxed, contented
and well nourished
dog !!
Thank you so
much for all the
effort you and your
team have done to
provide us with such
a wonderful dog.
I look forward to
waking up every
morning and coming
home every day and
to so many things
that we have planned
for the family -
with Coco - of
course !!

Moccasin
Dear Beverley,
I know how busy you are but just
had to send this picture, taken
by Quintzy's dad at our mini
romp last week. He is
sporting his new summer cut and
looking rather handsome if I do
say so.
Beverley, he is a treasure.
I'm sure you hear that all the
time but probably
still never tire of it! He
is so sweet and gentle with all
he encounters.
Though we have no children, he
loves meeting them in every size
and somehow knows just how to
behave. He especially
loves toddlers who have no
qualms about throwing their arms
around him and he sits quietly
or lies down to make himself
available for their attention.
Small dog owners marvel at how
sweet he is and even our two 13
year old cats have decided he's
not so bad. But don't get
me wrong, he can romp like a
crazy man and loves, loves,
loves to fetch the ball and can
go forever. He likes the
beach and goes in the ocean
after skim boarders every time
and is doing so well in
training.
He's my buddy all day and probably
a bit spoiled even though we
don't want
him to forget he's a dog!
He's doing well on his BARF diet
and at 7+ months,
weighs about 41 lbs. He
makes us smile every day and I
delight in the smiles
and joy he generates in everyone
he meets, even if they're just
walking by
us. There is no dog in the
world as great as a labradoodle
I'm convinced and love to brag a little and
educate everyone who's
interested. Moccasin
makes me proud and you should be
too!
Moc Man says hi to grandma and
wants you to know he's happy.

'Muffin'
Five
Year Old Update in Hong Kong
Hi
Beverley,
It’s
been a while since we last sent you Muffin pics
and updates.
We’ve
just celebrated Muffin’s 5th birthday August
2007. Time really flies! However, Muffin
hasn’t changed much. She still acts like she’s a puppy,
as playful as ever. I’ve attached a few pics of her with
our two daughters, Kayla ( 10 ) and Arielle ( 7 ), who
both love Muffin so dearly.
I
can’t stop bragging about how sweet her temperament is
and how good she’s with the kids. She is always keeping
the girls company. Even when they are in bed, she would
spend half the night with one and the rest with another!
And
interestingly enough, she knows her own toys from the
kids and never ever destroyed anything! She also has
her own cute little habits.. because I’ve trained her
not to sit on the sofa unless invited, she’s adopted a
favorite position of resting only her upper half of the
body on the sofa J . She also has a very lady-like way
of sitting – she crosses her paws all the time. Everyone
praises her on how well behaved and human-like she is.
The
only one time she stole food was when she found 5 pieces
of yummy raw angus sirloin steaks waiting on the kitchen
countertop… well, couldn’t blame her. Otherwise, she’s
very good with self-control. Other than Muffin, we have
2 cats ( 11 and 18 years old ) as well. It’s interesting
to note that it is so obvious that despite her size, the
18 year old cat continues to be the pet boss in the
household and Muffin will avoid him. She will
occasionally chase the other one for fun though. And she
was so easy to train.
She’s
so smart she understands commands in English, Chinese
and Portuguese! She loves everyone! Even the vet! She’s
definitely the greatest dog ever!!! Muffin
has a very important place in our hearts… including my
mom who had a Portuguese Waterdog that kept her company
through part of her lonely childhood and Muffin so very
much reminds her of him. Even my dad who is not an
animal person loves her!
We
have fallen so in love with the labradoodle that we
decided if we were to ever get a second dog, it will
have to be another labradoodle. Well, we are now
considering getting a playmate for Muffin and it would
be great if you could send us an information packet (
we’re in Hong Kong ). I wonder how long the waiting list
might be.
Muffin sends Grandma Beverley her biggest doggy kiss
and wants to say ‘Hi’ to her parents if they’re still at
Rutland Manor.
Our
best regards and we hope to hear from you soon.

'Addie'
(Clementine/Dipper) born
3rd May 2005 on her second birthday at the Grand Canyon
Dear Beverley
Please send us an information packet. We are considering
getting our second labradoodle from Rutland Manor. We live
in Nevada, USA.
We
got our first puppy from you 2 years ago! We named her Addie
and she has been the utmost joy in our life through both
hard and great times. Nothing would make us happier than
starting down the path to getting her a little playmate!
Attached is a picture from right around her 2nd birthday on
a trip to the grand canyon and a picture of Addie dressed up
for Halloween last year. There are also 2 pictures of her
hanging out with my wife and I. I hope you enjoy seeing how
she is growing up!
Thanks in advance for the info!
Cheers,
Robert and Jamie A |

"
Annie"
Daughter of Brandy & Kelby born 7th Sept 2007 February 08 Update
Hi Beverley
and the group at Rutland Manor,
We are having such a wonderful
time with Annie!
She is
everything we could have hoped
for; loves people, other dogs
and she is very smart.
Annie also makes us laugh so
much with her cute personality.
The early
puppy days were very busy but it
sure helped to follow your
information "Puppy Care" on your
website. Thank you for making
all this information available
and for the easy travel to the
United States for Annie.

We are having
fun at Family dog training
classes, she is quick to learn.
I also taught her to "ring the
bells" to go outside, this works
amazingly well. She was very
easy to teach and it sure is
best for all of us.
We are going
to have many years with this
wonderful Labradoodle and she is
so loved by our family.
Thank you for
all you did to get Annie to us.

"Coby"
Daughter of Yogi Bear and Petal
AUSTRALIA
Hi Beverley,
It's been more than a year since
I've updated you on our
labradoodle, Coby (Rutlands Lil
Adriyanna - born 30 August, 2004
to Yogi Bear and Petal). She is a gorgeous young lady,
who is more often than not,
trying hard to please us. We
have lots of laughs together,
and lots of fun together.
She still loves splashing in her
paddle pool (bobbing 4
grapes!!), and loves swimming in
Lake Glen Maggie when we go
there.
We run her daily at a local park
and then she also gets out for
one or two 'heel' and loose lead
walks most days. She's so easy
to train (within
reason!!!) and is soo very
smart....that she just loves
learning new things and playing
games with us all!
We love Coby being a family
member, and cannot imagine our
family functioning without her
here. In the last few
months, I have found that she
really has started to settle
right down, and is growing up!
| (Yay!)
None of us get asthma from Coby,
and she sleeps right next to me
and I don't have any trouble
with her (as I did with our old
pooch). |
Thanks again for a beautiful
young lady who we all just
adore.
Kind Regards,
Karen R

Riley
in New York
Tiny Daughter of Rutlands Lil Minty
and Mon Cher
26th March 2006
Everyone at Rutland Manor
We haven't sent you any pictures of Riley so we thought
we'd send you some. She is now a year and a half,
about 17 lbs and just the best dog anyone could wish
for. She has a combination of traits -- high
energy, plays ball in the backyard, playfully gnaws with
your hand and at other times so calm, sits in your lap,
and sleeps on the heated floor.
All
three of my kids love her to death and we have no
problem having people volunteer to watch her when we go
on vacation.
Thanks again for breeding such a wonderful dog.
Sincerely, Wayne C and
Family
New York
