A Second RM Doodle Wanted in North Carolina

DARBY Turns Two Years Old in August 2007

July 2007

Hi Beverley:

We bought Darby (the offspring of Magnum and Brandy Liqueur) from you almost 2 years ago and she’s turned into a wonderful dog.  We’re interested in a friend for Darby.  Will you please provide us with a information kit.    Having a Standard, chocolate/ café girl with a fleece coat we would probably want the same size and coat in a boy this time.

Darby is doing well.  We have 3 children between 4 and 10 and she’s terrific with them.  She was surprisingly active (we had requested a less active) but she’s beginning to calm down some as her second birthday approaches. We feel so lucky to have such a great dog and really would like to have another one of your wonderful dogs!!

"CASEY"

Wanda and Redd Baron

ARRIVES CONNECTICUT FROM AUSTRALIA APRIL 2007

It's 1:00 A.M. and my wife and I just got home from JFK airport - 2 hours away.
The airport was a bit of an ordeal, but our little guy appeared and he was fine.

I found someone who went back and retrieved a crate with an adorable set of eyes peering out. Your suggestion to bring a scissors was most valuable. Upon opening the door, there was a moment of careful reluctance and then he ventured out and I was so pleased at how comfortable and together he was.  It's amazing that this 10 week old pup goes half way around the world and he was in better shape than I.

He's absolutely wonderful. I'll write you tomorrow with some details.  Jeff.

Morning after an exhausting night, is so nice. We're getting to know and explore everything. The airport was not easy. AA terminal was under construction and no one knew the routines. After an hour from when the plane ( already 1/2 hour late ) came in,

We took over a little corner of the airport and gave him a bit of water and a cube of cheese and off we went. The 2 hour ride was wonderfully relaxed for us all. Casey just lay on my wife's lap chewing a wriglet of rawhide.

He was amazing. When we got home, we let him roam around our front lawns and fed him the chicken, rice, carrot mix. He ate, but only a little. He also had a bit of yogurt.  We then all went to bed with him in an open crate next to the bed.  We had one 5 minute episode of yelping, and that was it.

This morning there's been a lot of play and adjusting, but we're so pleased.  Casey is very playful, still getting to know his new home, but he seems very happy.

Well I won't go on, but thanks for your part in this great spiritual experience.  Of course you can quote me or whatever. It's so sincere that I'll be doing people a favor if they are at all reassured by my experience.

Gratefully,

Dr. Jeff Weisberg Connecticut

"MELBA"

Daughter of Lil Muffgi and Rueben

Dearly loved by Jay and Shery G in Pennsylvania

Dear  Rutland Manor Team,

It is almost impossible to get a still shot of Melba with another dog, she hops around like a kangeroo!   But we managed a couple with Vinny the Great Dane.    I've never seen another dog do a backward flying hop. It must be the Australian in her. Today is Flag Day in the United States and I am chairman of the Philadelphia Flag Day Committee.  We hold a massive celebration at the Betsy Ross House where the Flag was first made by Betsy Ross after the authorization by Congress on June 14th 1777.  I will try and get a shot of Melba holding a Flag on a stick.

She already carries the newspaper up to the house each morning, so I think I can get her to hold the flag. You know us Americans, we take our Flag very seriously.

Keep up the good work.  I will keep checking your website for photos of Melba.  I really enjoy seeing pictures of the other families with their Doodles. Of course we think Melba  is the prettiest!  Seriously, her coat is so bright that it is sometimes hard to get a good photo of her. It washes out the film.Best regards to everyone in LabradoodleLand,

Yours truly

Jay H. Ginnsburg

"DARCY"

Another sweet little Miniature son of Sari and Beau, lives with Jane H and family in New York.

Hope it was a Merry Christmas.  I took Darcy to my sister’s for the holiday.  He was  soooooo good!  No one could believe that he was a 12 week old puppy – so well behaved.  He got on smashingly with the children – Olivia (2 yrs.) and Denis (3 ½).

He was particularly fond of Olivia and she of him.  It was so precious to hear her little voice calling “Darcy, come here boy”.  I didn’t have to reprimand him even once for mouthing or nipping (he sometimes playfully mouths me).  I’ve attached a couple of cute photos of him with the kids.

I don’t know how I ever lived without him.  Darcy is such a precious little guy.  All of my friends adore him.  We’re currently out in the Hamptons.  We had a lovely romp on the beach today with a bonus post lunch outdoor pee & pooh – yeah!!!!!  He’s finally getting the hang of it now that I’m in the country.
