And the happy reunion at  RM 14 years later.
Rutlands Loodle, 14yrs old  in December 2007 lives with her adoring human parents Graeme and Dellis, in Melbourne Australia where she has been serving and comforting countless suffering and ill patients in three Melbourne Hospitals since 1998.  On 12th July 2007 Graeme and Dellis visited Rutland Manor with Loodle,  for a tearfully happy reunion.

Loodle has led a busy social life since her early puppy days with Footie Mascotting, Fashion Parading, TV appearances and Festivals and Competitions.  Dog visitations to hospitals were not a usual practice in Melbourne in those days and it was Loodle's  gentle winning ways and clean allergy friendly coat that  soon won her favor until not one, but three major hospitals had her officially I.D.'d and on their books as Therapy Dog for their patients.

Very impressed with how graceful and athletic she still is at age fourteen, I asked Graeme and Dellis how her health has been.  'never a sick day' said Dellis 'she was getting a bit stiff awhile back and we put her on a joint eze product and she's been good as gold ever since'.

Graeme had us in stitches as he related an anecdote from when the family had moved house some years back.  Because of Hospital Visitation requirements, Loodle has a bath every Monday in the couple's shower recess.  She stands with her back to the wall, facing the door and seems to enjoy the showering down of the water.

One Monday, not long after the family moved into their new home, they couldn't find Loudle anywhere.  Panic stricken, all kinds of thoughts went through their minds.  Had she tried to go back to the old home and gotten lost?  Was she hurt somewhere, or stolen?  They searched and called, and called and searched until finally, by accident, they found her.  Loodle was standing in the new shower recess, with her back to the wall, facing the open door and just quietly waiting...waiting.    Well, it WAS Monday wasn't it? !

Graeme and Dellis picked up their second Rutland Manor puppy in July 2008.  "Countess"  (Tessa)   These are Impressive pawprints to follow but Loodle will be mentor to an adaptable  youngster who comes from the same heritage and bloodlines as she does.  It will be something beautiful to watch.
