The
entire litter of ten puppies were all Blacks, Silvers or
Black with Silver Frosting throughout the coat. Wheatens are
born brown, with black faces and feet/legs and pale out with
age to a lovely cornsilk gold or golden silver.
Rutlands Funnie Bunnie although a Chalky Cream herself was
dominant for Black and produced mostly Black puppies
regardless of the color of the dog she was mated to.
It was interesting to see the Australian Labradoodle
influence the color so strongly in this first generation.

Rutlands
Chevonne was then bred to Rutlands Kelby (ASD Australian
Labradoodle)
From
the litter of ten, we retained two Black females. Anya and
Ava.
The
consistency in type is amazing with the litter sisters still
looking like clones at two and a half years of age.
Rutlands Anya
The Photo below is of
Anya as an adolescent prior to growing her full coat so her
structure is easy to observe. Click to enlarge and see the
positive influences already evident in the first generation
past the infusion.

Before being retired to live with Bertie
and Ron in North America, in November
2007, Chevonne was bred for a second
litter, this time to TP Mahoso Amour.
From this litter a Golden Cream girl was
retained. |

"Goldie" brings lovely balance to
the breed, with level strong back
which is firm over the loins, near
perfect front and hind angulation,
straight front limbs, no 'east/west'
splaying (which induces great
weakness to pasterns feet, and
joints in the upper body and is a
trait prevalent in Labradoodles back
bred to Poodles) and a sweet saber
tail which flows as a continuation
of her topline. |

Lil Maggie was a
wonderful breakthrough in the
Miniatures, which up to that
point were becoming too refined
from the influence of the toy
and miniature Poodles originally
used to bring down the size.

Maggie
straightened curly and kinked
tails, lifted ear carriage
(which results in improved air
flow and therefore less ear
infections). Maggie also
influenced her progeny with
stronger boning and stocky
bodies, strong level backs
and nice blunt facial features.
